If microsoft had earned the extra content that would be fair game, but they bought the extra download content, if rockstar wasnt having money problems, it might have been turned down and both console releases been the same.
Money makes microsoft go round, not console quality.

im still getting this for my ps3, downloadable content does nothing for me since the game is already large in scale for me, plus like the article said its associated with the playstation and thats where i've always played this series with.....either way MS needs something besides gears of war 2 to hook me to the system this year, because 60 players online for resistance fall of man is simply ridiculous and i know for a fact that game will be on a lot of people's radar, and thats not even including mgs4
The minor extra content doesnt mean alot to me. Not to say it doesnt to other people though. Plus I hardly doubt that people will go out and buy a 360 just because gta will have a little bit more content. I am just about to buy a console and as of right now (i might change my mind) I am leaning toward the ps3. The exclusives this year are looking outstanding.
Besides. Not every 360 comes with a hard drive so MS must be rubbing their dodgy little hands together
As we all know, the 360 owns the PS3 in every way shape and form. As with every 3rd party game that comes out on both systems, the PS3 version took months longer to develop and will ultimately come out as an inferior product. Not inferior due to the fact that it has less episodes...inferior due to the fact that it will have lower framerate.
Of course Rockstar won't admit it beforehand as it would stunt sales on the PS3, but games just look and play better on the 360. Not just most of the games...every single game that comes out for both systems. I am buying myself a 360 the day this game comes out and putting my PS2 to sleep for good. Call me a fan boy all you want, but I am just calling it like I've seen it the last year or so. Another Sony fan jumps ship to the 360!!!!
No need for downloadable content. 360 owners will have to pay for it to.
What do you mean 'if they had earned it?' A game maker is going to make the game for as many consoles as it can unless it has an exclusive arrangement of some kind; and buddy, those cost money. Not earned - bought.
This is without a doubt a ps3 buy for me, GTA belongs on the playstation and i would NEVER buy it on another console. I own a 360 aswell but ps3 wins hands down for me. My 360 has an inch of dust on it these days! Also i would never risk buying a game like GTA on 360 as i have had the RROD once before and its a known fact that games that really push the system give a REALLY high chance of RROD. GTA will push systems like never before, i hope MS is ready and waiting with there warranty forms!!
Shane Kim is a joke. The Grand Theft Auto series was born on the PlayStation console and it will sell better there no matter what, downloadable content is nothing every PS3 has a HDD unlike Xbox 360. PS3 will be better blu-ray
How on earth can MS possibly think they 'own' a joint PS3/360 launch day? The additional content for the 360 will not be released until much later in the year which will have to be paid for by 360 'own'ers.
Plus how do MS think the core system will handle GTA iV. We have already seen how Burnout Paradise will not run online mode due to the lack of HDD.
Come on MS these are small straws your clutching for a mere 50 million dollars.....
I have played ps3 once (Resistance: Fall of Man) and wasn't impressed. I haven't seen PS3 outdo the X360 in graphics even from game videos I've seen. I am also used to the 360 controller now and can hardly use the ps3 controller.
I am one person who is excited about the downloadable content. Adding new levels to the game will be awesome once I'm done with the version availble on the disc. XBOX Live is also far superior to PS3's online service. Apart from that, I only know 2 people that have ps3. Everyone else I know (that has a console) has the 360 and wouldn't even consider a ps3.
Right now the 360 has a ton more games than the ps3. I'm sure ps3 will catch up at some point, but they need to get their systems cheaper before I would buy one.
As for selling systems, the 360 is overall cheaper and has a better selection of games. I think the release of gta iv will favor the xbox, though probably not by a substantial margin.

lol, what is this dickhead talking about? by the time GTA is released ps3 may have a 12-13 million userbase full of gta fans! some shitty extra content that no one really cares about aint gonna do shit! microsoft are getting desperate.
I hate my PS3 and will be getting rid of it soon. The fact that GTA was born on PS does not mean GTA 4 will be better on PS3...new game...new console...a console that is inferior to MS XBOX 360 (when it comes to gaming) in almost every way.
the pre order sales for gta 4 were announced already,the ps3 version outsolded the 360 version 2 to 1.
Just buy one of each and spot the difference!
Besides a ps3 is still the cheapest blu ray around if u don't like yhe games!
grand theft auto born on ps3, beside playstation 3 probaly will add more stuff on the game one's is out, also in what system metal gear 4 and god of war 3 is going to be release, on ps3 of cure. on my opinon ps3 is better then xbox 360.
the ps3 will have the upper hand on this because it was realesed on the ps in the first place..the xbox has a year on the ps3 give it time to catch up and it will be the end of 360..xbox 1 was a major money loss for MS. the ps3 has come down in price anyways. DEATH TO 360...360 is for retards..
You do know that GTA 4 was first made for the xbox 360 not the ps3 like the other GTA'S were. Alot of 3rd party games that are made for the 360 and ps3 are designed for the 360 and then ported to the ps3. I own a ps3 and a 360 so I am not biased. Most games I buy I buy for the 360 not the ps3. I have 17 games on the 360 and only 3 on the ps3. All 3 games I have on the ps3 you can't buy for the 360. I have MLB the show 08, Drakes fortune (which is totally awesome) and ressistance fall of man for the ps3.
I will probably buy the new GTA on xbox because their games have generally been better when from a third party developer.
I got this game for the xbox 360. I've seen the graphics on both system and I have to say that the xbox is a little better. I have both xbox and the ps3 and every game that comes out for both system I always seem to get it for the xbox. Due to the achievement points and the xbox live. My friend has this game for his ps3 and every time he trys to go online to play the multiplayer, his ps3 freezes up on him.
The 08 line up is gonna be pretty sweet!!!
