More than a decade after its initial release and GoldenEye 007 on the Nintendo 64 remains one of the best first-person shooters to ever grace the home console industry. And now, if current rumours are to be believed, fond recollections can soon be replaced with a more tangible, action-packed surge down memory lane.

Specifically, online gaming magazine Xbox Evolved is suggesting that the Rare-developed James Bond classic will soon be available for download on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 via the popular Xbox Live Arcade service.
Until any official confirmation regarding GoldenEye’s arrival comes from the likes of Microsoft Corp, Rare, or Activision (which presently holds the license for the James Bond franchise), you’d perhaps be best advised to remain cautiously sceptical on this one.
And why? Well, although Xbox Evolved might have stolen the scoop on an extremely juicy gaming morsel, it only cites "very reliable sources," and that it has seen non-specific "evidence" for its self in claiming that Xbox 360 owners can look forward to the arrival of one of gaming’s all-time greats. Best to avoid undue disappointment, don’t you think?
That being said, Xbox Evolved outlines that GoldenEye on the Xbox Live Arcade will feature enhanced in-game visuals and an all-new multiplayer component for Xbox Live addicts. Furthermore, the site claims that Rare is also looking to introduce other major back catalogue classics to the Arcade, which include the original Perfect Dark and the original Banjo-Kazooie.
