The usual Xbox Live Arcade software update is nearly upon us, and this week the kind folk over at Microsoft are issuing a double-header release set to arrive on Wednesday in the form of Sierra Online’s ‘Arkadian Warriors,’ and Sidhe Interactive’s ‘GripShift.’

The former sees three brave shape-shifting heroes stand tall in an attempt to free the Land of Arkadia from the "stony gaze" of the evil Gorgon. During the action-packed single-player adventure players will get to traverse "randomly generated" dungeons, while honing their characters, securing loot and weaponry, and mastering powerful magic spells. Arkadian Warriors also bundles in local or Xbox Live cooperative multiplayer hack and slash to add longevity to the overall package.
Conversely, GripShift offers up a heady blend of gravity-defying "sky-high platforming and stunt driving," by mixing vehicular-based skills and platform puzzle solving spread across 120 challenging levels, 25 tyre-shredding track locations, and 20 deadly deathmatch arenas spread throughout four themed game worlds.
GripShift can also be played with up to four players via Xbox Live. The game also offers a fully customisable music experience, driver selection, additional vehicles, and skin customisation.
Both Arkadian Warriors and GripShift will set you back 800 Microsoft Points each, and will be arriving exclusively on the Xbox 360 console’s Xbox Live Arcade on Wednesday, December 12, at 9am GMT.
