A Microsoft employee may have accidentally confirmed the existence of an upcoming HDMI-enabled Xbox 360 Elite edition in the most unlikely way - on Microsoft’s own forums, the XNA developer forum to be specific.
Did Microsoft let the cat of the bag? Maybe so - and we know this is a picture of the early dev kit so don't get all twitchy.
XNA is Microsoft’s software that lets people to build their own Xbox 360 and Windows Vista compatible games.
One developer on the forums asked whether the new HDMI-enabled edition of the Xbox 360 will require coding changes - "Will the HDMI output on the revised 360 require any code changes?"
Shawn Hargreaves, apparently a XNA Framework Developer, simply replied "no changes required."
With Xbox 360 Elite production line photos leaking on the internet and speculation swirling about whether or not the Elite is just a rumor, this is the most substantiated piece of evidence yet. Or is it?
Well... instead of refusing to comment on speculation, as Microsoft usually says, Gr seems to have given the best form of confirmation that we have thus far that the Xbox 360 Elite is indeed on the way.
But who is Shawn Hargreaves? Is this all real or a hoax? Well have to wait and see.
