Wii News Channel set to go live

The latest addition to the Wii 'desktop', Wii News Channel will make it extremely easy for all Wii owners to check the latest news from around the world. The Wii News Channel launches this Saturday.

News and photographs will be provided by the leader is news, The Associated Press. The channel will work in the same way as the weather channel in which Wii owners will select which part of the globe's news they want to read. The AP has a two-year contract to provide news and photos with plans to add multimedia, such as video, in the future.The AP will supply news for the Wii in English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, and Swiss-German, Seagrave said. The Japanese news company Goo will supply Nintendo's Japanese-language news.Source: MyWay
