Bet you didnt know this, eb games, game stop, game crazy and best buy or any one else get zero returns, profite, on the ps3 console when they sell it, none. But those same people are paid a commission when they sell a xbox, what sounds better to the person standing behind a counter for 8+ hours a day getting minimum wage? Nothing or a small commission? The only way any of those stores make any cash off of the ps3 console when it is sold, is buy selling you a warranty, or a game or an accessory. Just a little food for thought.
mgs4 will come to xbox 360 for sure. This will be hell for ps3 for sure. gaystation 3 can go to hell.
Yes, I do have an Xbox 360, yes it's the game system I mostly play, however... MGS not coming out for it -was- a dissapointment. But think about this:

Spore.
Huxley.
Too Human.
Resident Evil 5.
Gears of War 2.
Fallout 3.
Halo Wars.
Call of Duty: World at War.

I just don't think the Playstation can cope, especially the fact that they started with a 600+ Price tag. Secondly, I can honestly say PS3 games lag more than Xbox games.

90% of that list IS MULTI-PLATFORM GAMES dipshit. I owned a 360 at one point and it died, big BIG shock right? The PS3 gets down to business, the online looks rough but the inside run smooth and its free. 360 looks nice but runs like a dead horse. Lag is the result of the people you are connected to. You get in a room with a host with a shitty connection or a bunch of players with shitty connections and you get lag. You can also get a better connection on your end by upgrading you isp package. Iv seen more lag on live than i have psn, the only time i see lag on PSN is when some kid has a lag switch. Ether case PSN or live i just leave the room, because its really so difficult to do. For the money i payed id expected more from the 360 but thats how the xbox works, the outside of this 360 programming looks nice to draw attention away from problems while they shake every penny from you while they touch the inside only once a year and the xbox gets worse. Long live the PS3 and MGS.
first off let me say !!!!MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!! secondly, i own both an xbox360 and a ps3, so there's no bias here! now, having completed MGS4, here are some reasons why i think the game wont be on xbox360, 1) the metal gear mark 2 and 3 (remote control droids) are controlled by a PS3 controller, clearly seen being used by snake during the game. 2) there is a PS1, PS3, and dualshock controller seen very clearly and mentioned during more than one cut scene. 3) the apple ipod and apple computers are shown many, many times during the game. i would be very doubtful that these would be allowed to feature on a system made by microsoft. 4) during at least one codec conversation, mention is made of being on ps3 and using blu ray disc. 5) the game takes up a whole blu ray disc, and installs a lot of memory to the hard drive. xbox cant use blu ray (its owned by sony) and none of my games install to the hard drive so i dont know if they can or not. i hope that this all makes sense, i'm not trying to start more arguements, just being logical.
err... i think i read somewhere mgs 4 uses up like some ridiculous amount of data and would only fit on blue ray, it wont come out on 360 cos of the puny data size of dvd's c'mon people think about it!
I'm sorry...with the economy the way it is with these high ass gas prices...high prices on food...I be damned to spend $500 on a system just to play 1 game. I wouldn't do it if my mama made Metal Gear 4 herself.
(sigh) it's about time PS3 gets a game to rub into the faces of the 360 fanboys... This year is gonna be a turning point for us Sony loyal kick ass PS3-ers... Killzone 2... Fall Of Man 2... Final Fantasy 13... Zone of the Enders... dude, c'mon, this year will rock... But as of right now, we can all thank Hideo for making a masterpeice for our PS3... MGS4 is my favorite game at this point and thank the gods it's staying with us and not going to Xbox3shitty...
MGS4 got a perfect 10/10 in most magazines and overall great reviews on most websites... After playing MGS4, i went to Gamestop and got all the Metal Gear games i can find... Last week i played MGS1 all the way to MGS3 and it was the best week of my life...
Halo 3 sucked, same-lame process... shooting aliens and the flood, repeat... Gears of War was ok, just ok... It's not the best game ever, but fanboys would call it the best game ever ONLY cuz it's ONLY for 360... But now we got MGS4... Infamous... Tekken 6... GT5... and big list of PS3 only games at our side... Now IS THE TIME!!! Let's all enjoy this!!! This is what we get for keeping at Sony's side... And this is what we deserve... No more green boxes spinning 360'... Long live the TRUE king: PLAY STATION 3...
Ok 1st of all mavericslayer you need to get laid and put away your PS3 before you play your life away and secondly if MGS4 doesnt come to XBOX360 who cares i mean its just a game ive played all the MGS games myself (Which MGS2 sucked the worst) and possibly if it comes to xbox 360 then whoopy do! and if i doesnt good for PS3 for having like another exclusive on there hands how m,any do you guys have now....5...or 6...? i wouldnt know cant be much everything else is ported anyways

However getting to the point where everyone is dead-bored with comments on this subject. I'd say we should all just wait and see what happens. None of us know that it's coming to 360 or just stays a ps3 exclusive.
Oh and just to make a statement about all the rambling that it's all about money, or loyalty or whatever.
The metal gear series is way older then most people realize. It goes back till the msx on which the original metal gear was released. That game was also released for different platforms later on. I don't know why everybody gives so much to see this last game in the franchise being put to 1 system or ported. It's about the experience Konami can give to players. Wether it is on an Xbox360 or Playstation 3, or the Wii for that matter.
For the record, MGS4 has been a very expensive game to make, too expensive actually, if every has been been doing a bit of homework. But they made the game nevertheless, just because they wanted to end the series and the give the fans a last wild ride.
Konami wants this game to be played and to be remembered. They want you to look for the other games (metal gear 1 & 2 and metal gear solid 1, 2 & 3).
With that in mind I think it's wise to end this discussion and just move on, cause in the end it's all about the broad experience of the game(s).

Sony said it themselfs at the press confrence at E3 that Metal Gear Solid 4 isn't just an exclusive, it is only possible on the PS3. Which means that it cannot come out for the 360!!! When will you stupid fanboys get that through your Gaylo infested skulls that you will never and I repeat never ever get Metal Gear Solid 4.
The commenter beneath me is absolutly right. And to support that *possible spoiler* the game is absolutly ridden with Sony products. E.g. Sony Ericsson mobile phones, the PSP. And worst of all it also features Microsoft's archenemy Apple, with the iPod and the Macbook Pro.
If MGS4 would even come to the XBOX360, which it certainly wouldn't, Konami wouldn't only have to compress the game, but also redesign it. Because I'm sure Microsoft wouldn't want any Apple products advertised on their own gaming-platform.
I just have to say that MGS4 is awesome. I have both consoles; and in fact I bought my first original xbox just so I could play Halo1. It was worth it.
MGS4 is 'So' good, I would recommend to any 360 owners to go out and buy the PS3 just to be able to experience this game. I have a PS2 but never played any of the older part of this series, so the game probably means even more to someone that has.
I wonder if there will come a time when PS3 owners and Xbox 360 owners can join in online multiplayer games. I play COD4 on both platforms and they play almost identical. Same for UT3 and the 360 just added a couple of proprietary maps; but it's the same game. Microsoft has tried it with Games for Windows PC users being able to play along with Xbox 360 players on xbox live.
We'll see, I'm not sure it maters, or if it's even a good thing.From my perspective, there are just as many 'Jerks' on playstation online as there are on xbox live. There seem to be about the same amount of decent gamers as well. The playsation online interface is a bit different, but I notice some significant changes in 2.4 that are making it a little easier to link up with friends.
You people who are keying on this 'Fanboy' language should really think it through. Gaming isn't just about the competitive end of things. Playing a game four person co-op can be pretty cool. The latest AI's like the terrorist AI in RB6V is pretty unpreditabl at times. As processing power increases, we may all find Human multiplayer games a bit easier than campaign...;)

PS3 can have their MGS4 EXCLUXIVE... .. .
MGS IV uses all 6 SPE's to make the game playable at its best. When KONAMI stated that the game will push the PS3 to its very edge, they weren't kidding. They never stated on what factors the SPE's do ... We all know the PS3 is a powerful system so I don't think there should be any dicussion about what the 360 can do, because as simple as Kojima and KONAMI stated ... the 360 will not be able to run the game features like the PS3 can do. Do some research before you talk big. And people should know by now, Kojima hates Microsoft, period. You will not see this on the 360. Get a PS3 if you want to play it.
