How is it 'interesting' that the PS3 version can install itself on the hard drive? That's like saying it's 'interesting' and 'newsworthy' that a new Xbox 360 game can let you use the Xbox Guide without quitting, or that a Wii game can use motion-based controls. Good work showing your bias.

Both versions look exactly the same. Downloadable content is usually garbage. Besides the extra songs on Rock Band and a couple of map packs all downloadable content is gimick.

haha looks like some xbots came to cut down the poster. Get used to it youve had your bragging rights but now that your only big titles gears of war and halo 3 are becomming old news and games like burnout and dmc4 are focusing more on the ps3. Youll have to let go of all your ps3 bashing seeing as how once developers really dig in deep into the hardware its only normal the ps3 games are going to start being better. The face motion capsure and processing muscle arent matched by the 360. You can deny it if you want but fact is fact.

Only problem is the ps3's hardware was very foreign to alot of 3rd party games at first. So alot werent done as well as they shouldve/couldve been. Even though contrary to belief the ps3 does have a decent amount of good exclusives.

Don't forget mgs4,little big plane, and killzone 2 all hitting early in 08. Enjoy what little more bashing you can get in xbots.

All DLC is garbage? Bet you weren't saying that when the exclusive DLC for GTAIV on 360 was announced! Oh but I guess that's different.

As far as Blu-ray being slower than DVD goes, I provide a quote from another website on the same subject matter (posted in January of 2007, so this is not exactly new information):

'A 12x CAV drive like the one in the 360 will be 12x speed for around 15% of the outer disc, that figure is peak performance. The closer to the inner ring it gets the slower accesses get (5x speed on the inner ring) - probable average: around 8x speed. Another interesting thing seems to escape everyone is that the 12x DVD drive in the 360 only reads dual layer discs at a maximum of 8x speed. As it was in single layer, the 8x speed is peak performance. The 2x speed BD drive performs quite well in this case: a BD25 on PS3 fares better than a DVD9 on the 360. The great majority of 360 games are and will be pressed on DVD9s. Another interesting point with existing CLV BD drives is that they do not have the dual layer penalization with DVD dics. If a BD drive is rated to read DVDs at 8x, it will read dual layer DVDs at 8x as well. This is why Sony is comfortable with its choice and knows it will hold its own against MS's choice in the DVD format.'

So, in short, if the 360 version of DMC4 is pressed on a DVD5, it MAY have faster load times than the PS3 version, IF the PS3 version didn't take advantage of the hard drive (and since every PS3 has a hard drive, that wouldn't really make sense, would it?) If the 360 version of DMC4 is pressed on a DVD9, then the load times off disc would likely be a wash (with a possible slight advantage to the PS3's Blu-ray drive).

Take your FUD and go home, thank you.

(and for the record, I'm platform agnostic - I have a 360, PS3 and a Wii - all have their strengths and weaknesses).

oh just to bring a conclusion to all the info above, basically all taht says that half the data on the 360 disk will stream at or equal to the PS3 game. The other half of the data will stream faster then the PS3 version. This gives a possible advantage of a 50% load time advantage to the 360. Now that 50% is not complete in every scenerio, as it could be 45%, or 35%, or 25%, or 10%, or that the worst -05% if the data is located the furthest out. but 95% of the time data will load from the 360 = or faster then the PS3.

Im saying atleast in the 360 box there was a nice set of HD cables I could use to hook it up to my 1080p TV. it costed 399. for 599 I dont even get an HDMI or a set of component cables? WTF. Yellow, red and white? WTF! And no I bought a HD cable set for my PS2, even though it maxed out at 480p...
