This website, The City of Rhodes, surfaced this weekend, featuring the image of Kratos, the anti-hero from the popular God of War series, and a countdown clock that is currently at about 16 days. What could this God of War and Sony branded website be counting down? Take a look for yourself.

What could this God of War and Sony branded website be counting down? Take a look for yourself. Bulletin boards and forums lit up over the weekend as fans debated whether it is an announcement for the God of War PSP game or even God of War III.IGN.com reported that they contacted Sony, who confirmed the website is not promoting the PSP game, but gave this cryptic remark: "The website is for true God of War fans...Think of the original God of War."
The Isle of Rhodes, as the website is called, referes to Rhodes, one of the locations in the new God of War II game where Kratos takes on a slew of baddies.Check back here for updates and visit www.islandofrhodes.org to see for yourself.
